WP3 Experimental evaluation of management options at field level

This work package quantifies the expected impacts of alternative soil management options on the major goal variables: productivity, climate change mitigation, and soil quality. Based on this information, best management practices are formulated.

WP4 Compatibility of management options at farm level

Monday, 20 October 2014

WP4 assesses the compatibility of selected best management practices with real-world farming conditions in the different agro-ecological zones and farm types. Farmer surveys in the partner countries are an important component of this work package. Collected information is integrated into a decision support tool for farmers.

This work package reviews how regulations and policies at regional, national and EU level affect the adoption of best management practices. It develops guidelines for EU and national policies that promote the adoption of sustainable soil management.

WP6 Dissemination and Knowledge exchange

Dissemination of the project results is carried out through this work package. Information exchange with the farming and policy communities is organised via discussion groups and workshops in all partner countries, web-based information and printed materials. This work package makes the farmer decision support tool available in the partner country languages.
